Part owner and operator of Hopper-Stone Outfitters, Rich has several seasons of solid drift boat fishing experience under his belt, and is no stranger to the Bow River. While studying to finish his undergraduate degree Rich was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to take on a fishing apprenticeship studying under Matt, Jim and other veteran Bow River guides. Rich has learned the ins and outs of fishing the Bow from some of the best the industry has to offer, and has guided for Calgary’s most prominent fly shops. Rich is a devout dry fly fisherman who is well cultured in the art of fishing both grasshopper and stonefly patterns.
Jim was born and raised in Calgary, just like Matt and Rich. He started fishing the bow around the same time he got his very first drivers license. Jim has over twenty years of Bow River fishing experience. Jim is a Landscape Designer by trade, and commits every summer season to his second profession, guiding on the Bow. Jim has worked as a professional guide for local fly shops for the last decade, and is a popular choice by many anglers when selecting a guide. Just like everyone else at Hopper-Stone Jim loves to fish dries for big Bow River Browns.
